All your Decorating and Roofing Needs Solved and Guaranteed
North West London
NSG Restorations brings together traditional craftsmanship, specialist restoration and modern professional standards to care for homes across North West London.
Founded by Kensington firefighter Alex, NSG combines 30 years of experience across painting and decorating, roofing and sash window restoration with a commitment to reliability, careful workmanship and attention to detail.
We specialise in three areas: traditional roofing, sash window repair and restoration, and high-quality painting and decorating.
Whether you're maintaining a period property, restoring original features or simply want your home finished to an exceptionally high standard, we believe good restoration is about more than making something look new.
It's about understanding what is already there, preserving what is worth keeping, and doing the work properly.
I've worked in construction since I was 16, starting out in roofing before moving into painting and decorating in my twenties.
Along the way, I've worked as a scaffolder, a sash-window glazier, and as a rigger and climber on projects across Europe.
Alongside construction, I've spent years working in the London Fire Brigade. Now, having settled back in London, I've decided to bring all of that experience together and work for myself.
NSG Restorations is the result.
I enjoy working on buildings where experience matters — understanding the materials, finding the right way to repair something and taking pride in the finished result.
Whether it's a traditional roof, an original sash window or the final finish inside a home, I want the work to be done properly.
That's what NSG Restorations is about.

Painting & Decorating
We specialise in high-quality interior and exterior painting and decorating, with particular care given to period properties and high-end homes.
A good finish isn't simply about the paint you put on the wall. It's about everything that happens beforehand — preparing surfaces properly, protecting the surrounding property and taking the time to get the details right.
From walls and ceilings to doors, windows, woodwork and intricate period features, we take pride in producing a clean, considered finish that suits the character of the property.
No rushing. No cutting corners. Just good preparation and good workmanship.
